Energized Chamber Aims for 500 Members in 2010

Chairman of the Board Mike Boyle and more than 50 members of the North Mason Chamber of Commerce welcomed new business "2 Margaritas Family Mexican Restaurant" to Allyn at last night's After Hours event.

"The North Mason Chamber is the place to be," said Boyle, owner of North Bay Mortgage. "We met our goal of doubling our membership to reach 420 last year, and together, with the help of our members, will reach 500 by the end of 2010. We are truly a regional organization that is working to promote the area, improve the economy, advocate for our members, and create these fun social events where the community can get to know each other."

Excitement has been brewing over the past year, particularly with the popularity of the Chamber's new social networking web site, "MYNO," enabling members throughout the region to keep in touch and network. "And that's just one of the ways new members maximize their Chamber memberships, especially during these challenging economic times. We are excited to have very active and useful Facebook, LinkedIn, Youtube, and Twitter pages," says Chamber President & CEO Frank Kenny.

According to WorkSource Supervisor Lorraine Coots, "Now is the perfect time for WorkSource Mason County to join the Chamber as we have a new full-time business liaison on board. Mark Duncan will be focusing on helping North Mason employers connect with qualified job seekers, and the North Mason Chamber of Commerce provides an excellent platform for building those employer relationships."
