North Mason Schools

Moving to a new area presents many exciting challenges for families. While kids want school to be cool and fun, parents are more concerned about the quality of education their children will receive. We believe our North Mason schools (nmsd.wednet.edu) meet these criteria and much more.

Residents of Allyn, Belfair, Tahuya, Grapeview and the tri-lakes area of Mission, Tiger and Panther Lakes live within the boundaries of the North Mason School District, which encompasses approximately 129 square miles of tall-timbered countryside surrounding the saltwater shorelines of Hood Canal to the west and bordering southern Puget Sound waters to the east.

North Mason is a progressive, yet smaller semi-rural school district that prides itself on the high quality of public education provided to students. The district is comprised of two elementary
schools, one middle school, one high school and two alternative schools. Kids who go to school here are lucky. Many come from small neighborhoods within the larger community while others live on acreage in the outlying areas. They enjoy a scenic bus ride to school every day because they live in a beautiful area surrounded by green trees and blue waters.

Kids like the variety of extra-curricular activities offered by the North Mason School District, including athletics, music, drama and clubs. The local Boys & Girls Club offers a lively after-school program on campus at both elementary schools and operates a popular Teen Center adjacent to the
middle and high school campuses. Mason Transit provides free transportation home after school hours. Kids can always find something fun and safe to do after school!
