North Mason Chamber of Commerce :: Bozeman to Speak at Chamber's September Luncheon

Cary Bozeman, Port of Bremerton CEO, will be the featured speaker at the North Mason Chamber of Commerce monthly membership luncheon set for Wednesday, September 23.

The former mayor of Bremerton is expected to discuss and update the membership and public on all the exciting activities at the Port, located just four miles north of Belfair on State Route 3.

Chamber members in attendance will also vote on the proposed name change from Belfair-North Mason Chamber to Mason-Kitsap Chamber.

Bozeman may discuss the many economic opportunities occurring around and at the Port that will directly affect North Mason. The Belfair Urban Growth Area (UGA) touches the Kitsap County border and the Port is less than four miles away from the Belfair UGA. Other topics could include the South Kitsap Industrial Area (SKIA), the cross-SKIA connector, airport runway improvements, auto racing and the Port's three-year action plan.

The Port's mission statement reads:
The Port of Bremerton is entrusted to plan, develop, maintain, manage and promote business, industrial maritime and aviation facilities and services for the purpose of inducing capital investment and creating economic development, employment, transportation and recreational opportunities in a financially and environmentally responsible manner, dedicated to the general welfare of the citizens and business of the Port district and the region.

The Port's vision statement reads:
The Port of Bremerton will build, operate and maintain world class facilities providing recreation and economic development opportunities for aviation, marine and business facilities.

The North Mason Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon will be held at 11:30 on Wednesday, September 23 at the Theler Community Center in Belfair. We start with introductions at 11:45. Announcements and news immediately follows with the program beginning at 12:30.

The Chamber hosts a membership luncheon with a featured speaker on the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Mary E. Theler Community Center on State Route 3 in Belfair. A no-host catered lunch is served beginning at 11:30. Cost is $10 and reservations are not necessary.

Our monthly Shop Local winner's name is drawn and new chamber members are introduced and welcomed. Everyone is invited to come and network with other local business owners. Chamber membership is not required.
