Shellfish in Your Front Yard Workshops

Interested in learning to cultivate shellfish on your beach? This free class is for you! Learn about the biology of bivalve shellfish and different methods for enhancing your tidelands with clams, oysters and mussels. Participants will also learn about water quality concerns and how to prevent them.

Workshop instructors include local shellfish farmers and Washington Sea Grant staff. The first half of the workshop is lecture style with the afternoon on the beach reviewing different culture methods.
One-on-one technical assistance is offered to participants of the class as part of the Bivalves for Clean Water Program.

Please register today for one of the classes to reserve a space. Seating is limited. All three workshops will offer similar experiences.
