McLendon's Donates to Shop Local Cause

The North Mason Chamber of Commerce Shop Local Campaign has received a surprise donation from McLendon's Hardware of Belfair.

The store recently offered the chamber's Shop Local committee a way to earn funds that would be targeted to the Shop Local campaign, which also includes a North Mason beautification effort. McLendon's Hardware offered to donate $3.50 for each plate of free pancake breakfast served at their anniversary celebration held earlier this month.

Members of the chamber's Shop Local committee led by Lorrie Landram of White Heron Gifts served up hundreds of free pancake breakfasts and expected to earn about $1300 for their efforts. However, McLendon's graciously donated $2500 towards the cause.

The Chamber thanks McLendon's Hardware and all the volunteers who helped with this project. Shop LOCAL!
